When the light returns and the cold is biting the skin the people of Kiruna celebrate the snow and the winter with a Snow festival. During the Snowfestival you are able to take part in the rich culture of Kiruna, everything from snow-sculptures, painting exhibitions and snowblower race to kid’s playgrounds designed by snow. Everything is connected to snow.

But it is are also a Space Fair; The movie theatre show space movies and the space organizations in Kiruna have displays of their activities.  EISCAT participated with a showcase stand, to let people know what we are and what we do.  The fair is well attended and a great way for us to reach out  to the community in Kiruna.
